time!
Every summer we learn the other half of Jiu Jitsu, the Gi-Less half.
Chokes, holds, sweeps, takedowns, everything you will need to roll
Gi-Less!
For those that don't know, shorts and a shirt is the summer uniform.
However...
You are still
required to bring your Gi to every class.
Why?
1. Moses may without notice teach a move requiring a Gi.
2. You cannot receive a stripe or a belt without wearing your Gi.
3. You will not automatically receive your stripe or belt the next time
you bring your Gi.
4. You, not your parents are responsible for your Gi.
5. Be prepared. Bring your Gi to every class.

people compete in the tournament yesterday. All of them winners!
Great job guys! I also want to thank everyone that didn't

By the Bay Tournament being held February 26th at Futsol
Republic in Hayward California!
For this tourney we will have a competitors list up and the
brackets will be published online on Feb. 24th at 5PM. We will
be using IBJJF Rules and weight classes. Gi and No Gi divisions
Kids through Seniors. All weigh-ins will be before the
competitors first match! Early registration discount! If you register before February
1st you will pay only $45 for one division and $60 for two
divisions, Save some money and register early! Free t-shirts for all competitors

14TH COPA PACIFICA DE JIU-JITSU
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Tournament
March 5 and
6, 2011 at La Quinta High School in Westminster, California.
Cleber Luciano Jiu-Jitsu is proud to
announce the fourteen Annual COPA PACIFICA
(Pacific Cup) Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Tournament. This prestigious
international event will feature athletes from all across the
country and the world battling for the precious cup. The
competition will take place on March 5 and 6, 2011 at La
Quinta High School in Westminster, California. All belt
levels and age groups are invited to compete. The top two
competitors in each division will receive awards and the top
school will win the "Copa Pacifica" to proudly display on their
award shelf.
Competition will begin 10:00am on Saturday and Sunday. In
addition to awards, all competitors the weight in on Friday will
get a free T-shirt Whether you are competing or watching, we
look forward to seeing you there!!

Moses will be out of town this weekend competing in LA. Our
instructor for Friday night and Saturday will be Roy! Here's
some news about Roy you may not know..
Roy Boughton has signed to fight Murilo "Ninja" Rua at the
Warrior 1 show in Toronto, Canada.October 23, 2010. Boughton
(4-1) began his mma career earlier this year and will already be
fighting in his 6th professional fight. Ninja (the brother of
UFC Champion, Shogun Rua) will be looking for his 5th win in a
row.

and Brentwood did GREAT today! These kids
are the definition of tough! Thanks to Moses, Matheus, and
